About the Retreat
Swara VigyÄn ⢠Tattwa SÄdhana ⢠Breath, Elements & Cosmic Awareness
Anahat Yoga Ashram is among the first spaces in Nepal to offer Swara VigyÄn as a dedicated immersive retreat experience. Rooted in the ancient GuruâShishya ParamparÄ (teacher-disciple tradition), these subtle yogic teachings are shared here through direct experience, breath awareness, meditation, and Tattwa SÄdhana â allowing seekers to explore Swara Yoga in a simple, authentic, and deeply personal way.
This retreat is a deep immersion into the ancient and subtle science of Swara Yoga â a sacred yogic wisdom centered around the breath, the flow of energy, and the connection between the human system and the cosmos.
In the yogic tradition, it is said that the teachings of Swara Yoga were first revealed in the divine dialogue between Lord Shiva and Devi Parvati, later preserved and transmitted through the sacred GuruâShishya ParamparÄ (teacher-disciple lineage).
For centuries, these teachings remained hidden within the oral tradition, passed quietly from master to seeker. Much of this wisdom was never widely written down, but experienced directly through practice, observation, and inner transformation.
Over eight days and seven nights, participants are guided step by step into the foundations and deeper dimensions of Swara VigyÄn (the science of breath awareness)Â â learning how the flow of breath influences the body, emotions, thoughts, actions, energy, and states of consciousness.
As awareness deepens, seekers begin to understand that the breath is not merely air entering the body, but a doorway into subtle perception and inner balance.
One of the central aspects of this retreat is the exploration of Tattwa VigyÄn (the science of the five elements)Â â considered one of the highest and most subtle dimensions of Swara Yoga SÄdhana.
Participants gradually learn to observe the changing movement of the Pancha Tattwas (Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Ether elements)Â within the breath and understand how these elemental energies influence daily life, emotions, communication, decision-making, vitality, and spiritual awareness.
Through this understanding, even ordinary moments begin to reveal deeper meaning and alignment.
The retreat also includes powerful and deeply transformative practices of:
đż Swara PrÄášÄyÄma â breath practices for balancing the subtle energies and purifying the NÄá¸ÄŤs (energy channels)
đż Swara Meditation â meditative techniques designed to deepen awareness, sharpen perception, and bring the mind into stillness
đż Tattwa SÄdhana â practices for experiencing and balancing the elemental forces within the body and consciousness
đż NÄá¸ÄŤ Shuddhi (purification of the subtle channels) â helping release energetic and emotional blockages
đż Techniques for manifestation, intention, and inner alignment rooted in the subtle wisdom of Swara Yoga
Alongside the practices, participants experience periods of silence, meditation, self-observation, and conscious living within the atmosphere of the ashram.
As the days unfold, many begin to notice profound shifts in awareness â greater sensitivity to breath and energy, emotional clarity, deeper intuition, calmness of mind, and a growing sense of connection with life itself.
This retreat is not merely about learning techniques.
It is an invitation to enter a more intimate relationship with your breath, your awareness, and the unseen rhythms moving through existence.
For many seekers, Swara Yoga becomes less of a practice and more of a living companion â something that quietly continues to guide daily life long after the retreat has ended.
Participants also receive lifetime connection and continued guidance to keep nourishing their Swara SÄdhana and deepen their journey over time.
Sometimes, when we become deeply silent and aware of the breath, life begins to reveal secrets that cannot be understood through the mind alone.
âYoga is not about perfecting the posture.
It is about becoming intimate with your own existence.â
