Anahat Yoga Ashram

Where yoga becomes a way of life.

Yoga Retreat | TTC | Yogic Living | Swara Yoga

There is no price to truth. And no boundary to love. I am offering yoga which comes from the overflowing of a journey, a life walked barefoot, soaked in silence, wonder, and surrender.

If your heart feels called, I welcome you into these spaces, not as a student, but as a fellow traveler.

Offerings from the Heart

Every step I take, every breath I draw, is a part of the path I walk and sometimes, this path opens wide enough to invite others in.
What I share is not “classes” or “programs” in the usual sense.
They are living experiences where the teachings of yoga are not only read or spoken, but felt in the pulse of life itself.

If you feel called, here is how we can walk together

YOGA  RETREAT

IMG-20231030-WA0033.jpg
IMG_20231018_082629.jpg

(Currently offered at: Anahat Yoga Ashram, Nagarkot, Nepal)

Gentle spaces where mountains, rivers, and the sky become our teachers. Retreats are not escapes… they are homecomings. We practice asanas, pranayama, and 'meditation and planet based special Kriyas followed by Flow of the Breath' not ónly as physical exercises, but as doorways into silence, gratitude, and awareness in Traditional Ashrama Style.

  • Practice Vinyasa (Yoga Flows) — to harmonize the Ayurvedic Doṣhas (influences of the Pañcha Mahābhūtas — the five elements).

  • Swara Yoga Awareness — living in alignment with the active nāḍī (flow of the breath) and attuning to the inner rhythm of life.

  • One-to-One Basic Ayurveda Consultation — guidance for each participant to understand the unique constitution of śarīra (body), manas (mind), and bhāva (emotions), with remedies for balance and harmony.

  • Mindful Walks through Forests and Fields — grounding into the Pṛthvī Tattva (Earth element), cultivating steadiness and inner peace.

  • Satsanga & Sacred Agni Saṅgati (Fire Gatherings) — heart-opening sharings in a space of innocence, trust, and non-judgment.

  • A Well-Designed Daily Rhythm — aligned with the Grahas (planetary influences), balancing energies through mantra, mudrās, and specialized kriyās, considering each participant’s body-mind nature.

  • Vegetarian Food — mainly local and organic, prepared with Śuddha Bhāva (pure intentions), nourishing both body and soul.

At Anahat Yoga Ashram, we gently encourage students to look beyond certificates and rediscover yoga as a way of living, breathing, and being. Our vision is deeply inspired and blessed by the wisdom of Paramahansa Yogananda’s Kriya Yoga tradition, nurturing inner awareness, devotion, and self-realization.

At Anahat Yoga Ashram,  We never wish for a sincere seeker to turn away from yoga due to temporary financial difficulties, and whenever possible, we remain open to finding flexible ways with genuine hearts who truly wish to learn and grow.

💛 Becoming a teacher is both a blessing and a responsibility. A yoga teacher is not only a guide but also a healer - first of the self, and then of others. These are the seeds that grow into trees, offering shade and direction to those searching for the way back to the heart and to life’s natural rhythm.

Swara Yoga

Swara Vignan - The Spiritual Science of Breath

is an ancient yogic science revealed as a sacred conversation between Shiva and Parvati. When Parvati asked how human beings could live in harmony with nature and destiny, Shiva explained the mystery of the breath and its subtle flow through the nostrils. He revealed that each swara influences our actions, decisions, relationships, thoughts, and their consequences. Hidden within every breath is a wisdom that can guide us toward the right action at the right time, making Swara Vijnana one of yoga’s most fascinating and lesser-known treasures. 🌿

What is Astro Yoga

Have you ever wondered why certain phases of life feel full of energy, clarity, and flow, while others bring challenges, emotional turbulence, or a sense of imbalance?

Astro Yoga is an ancient union of Yoga and Vedic Astrology (Jyotish) that explores the subtle connection between the planets, chakras, and the five elements (doshas) within the body. In Astro Yoga, we work with each chakra, balance the five elements, and practice specific Planetary Vinyasas—yoga flows designed for individual planetary energies—along with traditional pranayama, mudras, mantras, and kriyas.

These practices help harmonize the planetary influences reflected within us, creating greater physical vitality, emotional balance, mental clarity, and spiritual awareness. Rooted in timeless yogic wisdom, Astro Yoga invites us to discover the universe within and live in harmony with the cosmos around us. ✨🌿 Read more to explore this fascinating journey.

A Home for the SoulPerched in the serene hills of Kathmandu Valley — in the quiet embrace of Village — rests Anahat Yoga Ashram, a sanctuary (आश्रम – āśrama, a place of spiritual discipline) for hearts longing for peace, truth, and simplicity. Here, the air hums softly with the sound of the mountain breeze, carrying the gentle murmur of prayer flags fluttering against the Himalayan sky.

The space is bathed in an invisible river of prāṇa (life force), rich in the healing charge of negative ions, as if the hills themselves are breathing with you. Your stay here is simple, traditional, and heart-centered — much like the ancient Gurukula way of living.

We offer both single and double rooms, lovingly prepared for comfort yet free from unnecessary distraction. Days begin with the fragrance of organic herbs from our own garden and meals are cooked with śuddha bhāva (pure intention), using vegetables and grains cultivated in harmony with the land.

Winding trails lead from the Ashram into the surrounding hills, inviting manasika vihāra (mindful wandering) through forests, streams, and sunlit clearings — each step a meditation, each view a verse from nature’s scripture.

This is not just a place to learn yoga - it is a place to live yoga. To rise with the sun (sūryodaya), to rest with the moon (candra), to let the silence between breaths become your greatest teacher.

Anahat Yoga Ashram is more than a retreat center…It is a space where hearts meet without judgment, where every breath feels like a homecoming, and where the mountains quietly watch over your journey.

While Anahat Yoga Ashram is rooted in the peaceful hills of Nagarkot, Kathmandu Valley, Nepal, our offerings are not limited to one location. We also host selected Yoga Retreats and Teacher Training Courses amidst the breathtaking landscapes of the Himalayas in North India, including Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, as well as in the lush, tropical beauty of Kerala in South India.

🌍 A Note on Location Availability_

As a traveler, I have no single address. My home is where the wind carries me, and my offerings unfold wherever hearts are ready to receive them.

If your heart feels called, a private yoga retreat can be woven around your preferred location — be it by the ocean, in the mountains, or even in your backyard under the open sky.

For genuine seekers, my ways are always open. All that matters is the sincerity of your step.
