About the Retreat
This 26-day retreat is a complete immersion into the yogic way of life - not only through physical practice, but through the way we breathe, observe, feel, eat, move, rest, and relate to ourselves each moment.
It is a gradual and deeply transformative journey where participants are guided step by step from the foundational practices of yoga into deeper layers of awareness, silence, meditation, and inner exploration.
Over the course of these twenty-six days, the body, breath, emotions, and mind slowly begin to reveal their hidden patterns. Through daily Hatha Yoga, participants explore asanas, pranayama, kriyas, mudras, and bandhas designed not only to strengthen the body, but to awaken Prāṇa (life-force energy) and purify the Nāḍīs (subtle energy channels).
As the practices deepen, yoga slowly shifts from something we “do” into something we begin to live.
A significant part of the retreat is dedicated to Śuddhi (purification) through traditional yogic cleansing practices, including Shankhaprakshalana Kriya — an ancient gastrointestinal cleansing technique from the yogic tradition used by yogis for complete internal purification and renewal.
Combined with periods of conscious fasting, silence, and mindful living, this process often creates not only physical detoxification, but also emotional release, mental clarity, lightness, and deep inner stillness.
Many participants begin to notice that emotions long held within the body slowly start surfacing and dissolving through breath awareness, silence, movement, and meditation.
Swara Yoga becomes a living companion throughout the retreat. Through observation of the changing flow of breath, participants gradually understand how the Swara (the subtle movement of breath through the nostrils) influences thoughts, emotions, communication, decision-making, energy levels, and states of consciousness.
As awareness deepens, even a single conscious breath begins to reveal something profound about the connection between body, mind, and existence itself.
The retreat also includes an in-depth exploration of Astro Yoga and Navagraha Sādhana (planetary balancing practices). Participants learn how the planetary energies are connected with the Chakras (energy centers), the Doshas (Ayurvedic constitutions), and the subtle functioning of the human system. Through specialized kriyas, mudras, mantras, meditations, and planetary balancing practices, seekers gradually cultivate greater harmony within themselves.
Alongside the practices, participants receive personal astrological insights, Ayurvedic guidance, teachings from yogic philosophy, and meditative processes unique to Anahat Yoga Ashram.
The meditations shared during the retreat gradually move from foundational awareness practices into deeper and more subtle meditative experiences - helping participants move beyond mental noise and closer to the silent space within themselves.
There are moments of intense practice, moments of silence, moments of emotional release, and moments of deep peace. Slowly, the nervous system softens, the breath becomes more conscious, and the heart begins to open naturally.
This retreat is not about escaping life or becoming someone spiritually special.
It is about remembering the simplicity, clarity, and intelligence that already exist within you beneath the layers of tension, conditioning, and constant stimulation.
Sometimes, when life becomes quiet enough, we begin to hear something ancient within ourselves that was always waiting to be remembered.
“Yoga begins the moment you stop trying to become someone else and start listening to who you truly are.”
